Dominant Marcellus gas operator in Armstrong County. Marketing its land holdings for direct-connected data center deployments under the 'bring the data center to the gas' model.

  • BP6 Waterline — 5.7-mile, 20-inch HDPE pipe positioned to draw from the MAWC Beaver Run Reservoir (primary source per CNX's April 9, 2024 release) and, on regulatory approval, from the Kiskiminetas River. PADEP Water Management Plan WMP-159257-5 (approved Oct 31, 2023); Chapter 105 Permit E6507223-009 application re-noticed April 4, 2026 for a permanent submerged intake. The line crosses HQ-CWF waters and runs beneath residential parcels in Armstrong County.
  • Mamont Impoundment — flowback / produced-water storage in Armstrong County operating under PADEP WMGR123 (issued April 25, 2025). The older Mamont South single cell (permit 95-7-37312-20) is documented at 35 acre-feet (~11.4M gallons); total facility capacity reported as ~880,000 bbl / ~37M gal in secondary coverage — primary capacity to be verified against the issued WMGR123 application file. Granted an Air Quality Plan Approval exemption based on a PADEP RFD finding of ~0.28 tons/yr VOC, below the 2.7 tpy de minimis.
  • October 3, 2023 PADEP Notice of Violation — 389,518 gallons of unauthorized Beaver Run Reservoir withdrawal (HQ-CWF receiving water) over 17 days under expired Water Management Plan authorization. Self-reported by CNX July 14, 2023.
  • Slickville Trunkline — original application withdrawn Feb 2024 after PADEP deficiency letters and Three Rivers Waterkeeper objections; reissued permits ESP076523001 (Chapter 102) and E6507244-003 (Chapter 105) appealed Nov 2024 by Protect PT + Three Rivers Waterkeeper.
  • Zediker Station — 1,500-acre former coal mine in Washington Co., marketed via JLL for 500–700 MW of hyperscale capacity with on-site gas generation (Oct 2025).
Combining shale gas with 'remediated mine gas' and characterizing the resulting fuel mix as carbon neutral. The accounting frame addresses global CO₂ inventories; it does not address local air, noise, or water impacts.

Largest U.S. natural gas producer. Exclusive gas supplier to the Homer City Energy Campus per a July 2025 agreement in principle for up to 665,000 MMBTU/day — described by the parties as one of the largest single-site natural gas purchases in North American history. Routed via both Texas Eastern Transmission and Eastern Gas Transmission and Storage for redundancy.

Big Tech AI capex roughly tripled from 2022 to 2025 ($162B → $448B). Direct-connect agreements with gas-powered and nuclear campuses bypass the regulated retail grid.
